In our fieldwork to the biotechnology we were mainly concerned about how a scientist is trained, what personal qualities were needed to become a successful scientist and how emotions of the students shift during their education. Our path was similar to Sharon Traweek’s study of “A pilgrim’s Progress” in Beamtimes and Lifetimes and also her study was very much helpful to us to compare the differences between the American education system and Turkish education system.
