Both Master of Science and Phd. Students are under this category.
In Turkey it is necessary to have a masters degree to continue Phd.
They are studying small parts of a big project.
Notes:
For some other countries (e.g. USA) you can continue to PhD studies just after your undergraduate education. But in Turkey it is necessary to get master degree (which is declared by YOK)
They don’t have their own projects. Most of the time they work on a small part of their thesis advisors.
